Adventure Awaits: What’s New at the 2025 SHAPE Arkansas Summer Conference
This summer, SHAPE Arkansas is turning up the heat—and the fun—with a professional development experience that’s as energizing as it is unforgettable. Whether you're here to sharpen your skills, explore the outdoors, or simply reconnect with your community, the 2025 Summer Conference is where it all happens. Held at Joe T. Robinson Middle School in West Little Rock from June 5–7, 2025, this year’s theme is all about one thing: Elevate & Energize.
Expect engaging keynote speakers and workshops led by leaders in health and physical education. These sessions are designed to spark innovation, build confidence, and deliver classroom-ready ideas you can implement right away.
But this isn’t just PD—it’s personal development, too. The Rejuvenation Boot Camp invites you to reset and recharge through yoga, mindfulness, and expert-led wellness sessions. And when it’s time to take things outside, we’ve got you covered with a guided Pinnacle Mountain hike and group photo, kayaking on the river, and frisbee golf in the park.
On June 7, join us for the Inaugural SHAPE Arkansas State Pickleball Tournament at the brand-new 8-court facility in West Little Rock. Whether you’re in it to win it or just there to cheer on colleagues, it’s going to be a day full of fun, networking, and spirited competition.
New this year, we’re unleashing the Teacher Olympics: Squid Games Edition—a team competition packed with movement and standards-based challenges. Think Red Light, Green Light (with a curriculum twist), a Curriculum Cookie Cut Challenge, and the wild “Lesson Plan or Die” Mystery Box showdown.
We’re also bringing the Arkansas Active Adventure Geocaching Challenge to the conference. Grab your team and your GPS as you hunt for hidden caches, complete fitness challenges, and answer standards-based trivia throughout the new Pinnacle Mountain Visitor Center grounds. It’s the ultimate mashup of movement, tech, and team-building.
For those who want the full experience, the Champions Retreat is your VIP pass. For $350, you'll gain access to a live performance by The Bennett Hall Band, receive a premier name badge and swag, access to 36 hours of hybrid PD, admission to both Summer and Fall Conferences, and exclusive invites to kayaking, hiking, and the Pickleball Social. Plus, you can enjoy discounted lodging at Aloft Little Rock West for just $110 per night.
Registration is now open! Whether you’re racing to the next cache, competing in the Squid Games, or relaxing during a wellness session, one thing’s for sure: you’ll leave this conference recharged and ready to lead.
